Sorry folks, Isaac Hayes already has this one in the bag 😉🤣
(ok maybe I'll submit a serious entry later, but right now I honestly can't think of anything better than just doing this with classical instruments)

Ha! That syncs up surprisingly well. Did you adjust playback speed on the theme from Shaft?

Don't rule out Ennio Morricone for this competition.

I spliced it in 3-4 places to line up the hit points better, but no messing with the tempo or anything. Just the vibe of it works so well :)

Hi guys, here's my entry for the Bridgerton Scoring Contest if you like to check it oit and comment what do you think

It looks like I went in a totally different direction. I made it like there is a race to get to know who will be the lucky bride. Did I do wrong? We shall see!

First time entering one of these things

This one was a little out of my comfort zone, I tried my best with it, thank you for your time.
The piano I used was Paul Thompson's beautiful Yamaha Piano, it can be found in the media toolkit (worth picking up for the piano)
I used sounds from Abbey Road One.
I used some violins from Albion One.
I used a ooh long choir from Eric Whitacre Choir library. (used it faintly towards the end)
I used the Harp from BBC Orchestral (free version)
Even though it was out my comfort zone, I had alot of fun composing to it.
I'm currently listening to what other people have submitted and I must say there is some absolute amazing submissions already!
I wish everyone the best of luck!

My humble Quick Respond ...

I used BBC SO.

Appreciate it! Best of luck to you! Definitely liked the piano you used for the Queen(? I don't know, haven't seen the show, lmao)

I've not seen it but my colleague at work said his misses watches it, he said there's a lot of sh*gging in it.
Paul's piano is so clean, I love it, it's actually in a summer sale package deal at the moment, definitely worth picking up!
It's quite handy because you can use it for pop music, it's very versatile, I love it!

I'm going to be removing my original take as its too quite for phone users, I don't want to keep placing on here as it'll probably be seen as spam.

Hello
This is my entry to Spitfire Audio's Bridgerton contest.
I hope you like it.
Thanks for watching

First try at doing anything to picture. It is pretty basic arrangement wise as I didn’t want it too busy. I’m using labs, the free bbc orchestra, and a couple of the originals sounds, oh and XLM audio piano.

Here is my effort. I feel like I have made a huge jump this year but aware I've still a lot to learn also. Hope mine isn't too busy. Would welcome any feedback. I've used LABS Glass Piano Soft Grand. Albion One, BBC SO, Originals Epic Choir and Originals Cinematic Percussion. As well as a wee touch of guitar and a Pianobook Church Organ. I don't expect to even get a runners up spot but just love the opportunity to have a crack at scoring to picture.

Hi, it was hard but fun. Have a listen and let me know what you think. I composed the whole thing in FL Studio.

There are so many great submissions already. Great job everyone! Thank you for taking the time to listen to mine all the way through. I attempted to navigate the emotions from scene to scene and had so much fun working this.
These Spitfire Audio competitions have helped me improve so much as a composer, and I have learned more about myself as a musician, and about the composing process itself. This is the third year I have participated in the competitions, and it's absolutely made me better at my craft.
As you all know, music is essential for creating a mood and expressing sentiment within visual storytelling. It's another character helping to tell the story while tapping into the emotions of the characters and surroundings.
I approached this Bridgerton scene from a place of love for baroque music, and as a big fan of the show.
Special thanks to Spitfire Audio, Netflix, Bridgerton production company Shondaland, and maestro Bridgerton composer, Emmy Award Winner, Kris Bowers, for making this all possible.
Kind Regards,
