Massive time saving help, thank you.

I'm not sure why, but the audio from the file isn't importing with the video in Ableton Live 11. The video imports but there's no dialogue or fx.
I've checked with another .mov file and it's all working ok there.
Any thoughts?

OK, it's late and i may be over tired...but WHERE IS THE ILLUSIVE CLIP of STARGIRL?
I have read that people are having trouble with loading it...Please throw me a bone?
Where is the CLIP? Anyone want to help an old Scottish Piper?

You might need a google account, I'm not sure.

Hi @tachikoma - We have recently checked this with Ableton Live 11 and are unable to reproduce this issue. The clip should import with a single Audio track that includes dialogue and sound effects. Please try to redownload the clip and import it again to see if that works.

Spike!! Thanks for the info...i had fallen down face first from too much "coffee" and oddly my fingers landed just right to see the clip. It was like finding the Golden Arc...but again...Thank you Spike for looking out for us! Life is good! Slainte!

Hey thanks for the reply,
I redownloaded the clip, and restarted, and reinstalled the video codecs and still no audio. Audio plays in VLC, and other clips import audio with the video, so I'm not sure what's happening.
On Windows 10 here btw.

Hello,
I would like to know the FPS for the video. Also, what BPM should be? I'm using FL Studio. Thank you in advance for your answer!

The DAW will play the video at the correct frame rate. BPM is for you to work out yourself.
2 -
It's 1080P 23.976. The typical standard for film production used for broadcast in the US. You can typically find out a frame rate by loading into Quicktime and "show movie inspector" or WIN right click and select "properties" then "Details" or on MAC CMD-i for get information.

Thank you!

Yes, but it seems that I have to select the FPS in FL Studio https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2v3vU5O1kEI&list=PLkYsB0Ki9lAfqkvj5XZgKH2buti93HoeO min. 2:40. Many thanks for answering my questions!

I had the same issue in Ableton 11 and couldn't figure out a fix, so I found a workaround:
Export the audio out of the video with whatever means you have. A video editor would work, but I used Reaper.
Then just put the new audio track underneath the video in Ableton and line em up.
I haven't tried exporting yet to see if there will be any duplicate sounds issues, but it plays in Ableton just fine.

@tachikoma - feel free to try the workaround from @Big_Monday posted above this, and if you require further support please start a support ticket here.

If you are on a Mac or using QuickTime to view the video file, then from the Quicktime menu, select Window - Show Movie Inspector. That sohuld show you the FPS and other information on the video.

Yeah, I did the same, but I used VLC player to convert to audio.

Help, I can't download the film...

Reaper assistance, please. I've downloaded the clip, installed VLC and ensured that Reaper is up to date. The audio track opens ok in Reaper, but when trying to view the video, I just have a black screen.
The video and audio play ok in the standalone VLC player. Using windows 10.
Thanks.

Ah sorted. You need to ensure you download the 64bit version, which is not the default. Select 64bit installer from dropdown menu to the right of the download arrow.

Hi @theflyingdutchman, we have recently updated the download button to ensure the video is more widely accessible. Can you try clicking the download button on this page again? https://www.spitfireaudio.com/stargirl

I dont know if you've finished your score yet, but I'll let you know about another workaround for a problem you'll probably encounter.
We know that Ableton hates video, and i could not get the video to export correctly. It would either desync halfway through or the video would get corrupted/encoded wrong leaving just a green fuzz with the music chugging away in the background.
Here's my solution: While exporting make sure you tick the "Export WAV' and "Export video" options in ableton. This will give you a (probably corrupted) video and a WAV with just the audio. Open up a video editor (theres a million free ones, and I used Davinci) put the Original video clip into it and then add your WAV file and line em up. Make sure you mute the original clip.
Its a bit of a hassle, but it works.
I'm looking forward to the immense anxiety I will experience while watching others' submissions =^)

Hi,
I've finished the project, set up a youtube account and seen the above video about exporting the project from Cubase, (I have Cubase 5) but I must be doing something wrong because when I export the project I get an xmx file. I'm selecting the track using the transport selector and exporting it. Do I need to convert this?? or is there something I'm not doing properly? I'd be very grateful for your help.
Many thanks,
Peter Kay

Hi,
I've managed to find out how to export the project, (using audio mixdown, but it's now telling me that I can't export it because there is no space on my computer. This may be because I've got quite a few tracks that I didn't use but I couldn't delete. I hope there is a solution to this!!
Many thanks,
Peter Kay
