How to automate dynamics in Ableton?
Hey y'all!
I'm a novice composer mostly teaching myself for fun, and I use Ableton. I'm unable to find an answer to the automation process for dynamics.
For example, if I record myself playing a cello part with my Abbey Road MIDI instrument, Ableton will technically record the dynamic movement and it will play back, but there is no recorded automation to edit. Whereas if I was automating the volume knob on the track, it would record that automation in the arrangement view and I could edit my adjustments after recording.
Does anyone know how to get the dynamics automation recorded on the grid in Ableton like you would automate other FX, etc.?
Thanks in advance!
