“No Country for Old Men” (2007): Scoring Project (BBC Symphony Orchestra, LABS, Aperture The Stack)
Youtube Link: https://youtu.be/1UB8M0qoaAE
This is a scoring project I did where I took scenes from “No Country for Old Men”, which has very little if not any music at all, and scored/rescored them. This is the opening of the film. I took in consideration of what the filmmakers wanted from the film, which was minimalism and “raw” realism. One felt certain scenes needed a score to help support if not amplify their intensity while the other didn’t. Ultimately, I think they were both right, which is why the film has both. Regardless, I hope you all enjoy it as I worked really hard on it. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
