BBC SO Pro & Spitfire Plugin: any chance plugin can handle multiple mic feeds better in future?
My i7 Mac mini gets bogged down CPU/DSP wise whenever I decide to have several mic feeds other than the default two open.
I've read in many places that one reason is that the Spitfire developed plugin simply doesnt handle multiple threads, real-time issues and multi-core stuff anything like as efficiently as Kontakt.
Is there likely to be any change here? I paid full price for BBC SO when it first came out - and one differentiating feature of that compared to the cheaper versions is having lots of mic feed options.
But I find it simply unuseable/impossible to actually even audition many feeds at once in order to try out or experiment with BBC SO Pro - so I dont ever get to really use this library to the full.
And its the most expensive sample library I've ever bought.
