Is BBCSO recorded in stereo?

The instruments are panned so I assume they are recorded in stereo, and I take it this means panning them in my DAW would sound off? If so, does the pro version have any mic signals that are mono and panable without causing weirdness?

Yes. They were recorded so that the sound reflects the position where the musicians are sitting in the orchestra.

I don't know the answer to your question regarding the Pro version.
