'The Moth and The Bat' feat. OWP Pool Project & More

Hi friends,

Hope you are all doing ok... here's a piece i've just released called 'The Moth and The Bat' which is built around the two pianos from SA's OWP Pool Project (the Taped Piano which forms the tape delayed layers and the Double Felt Piano as the featured solo instrument) alongside various other Spitfire (and non-Spitfire libraries).

For anyone considering it I also tried out the Abbey Road Online Mastering on this track with Oli Morgan doing a great job of making it sparkle.

Oh wow! I will definitely check out the AR mastering later. As for the piece though, I love it!

I liked the delayed tape layers, I like how it's very percussive, but also serves as this ostinato-type of role. But I also like just the sound of the tape piano nonetheless.

Sounds absolutely beautiful. Very full indeed, actually. It really is mesmerizing and soothing.

It makes me feel like being shown around an abandoned loft. Still some old furniture in there. It was raining outside and the water keeps dripping in from various places. But the sun came back and it makes each droplet sparkle, creating beautiful, moving patterns on the what remains of the wallpaper. There is a pile of old paintings. Between them some photos of someone, but you can't quite make out the face anymore. Every picture has a different part of the face showing. Other fragments of the former occupant still remain, revealing parts of their life.

Needless to say, it's very inspiring to me, haha! Wonderful piece and thanks for sharing! 😁👍️
