How much should I charge for an indie short film?
Hi there! I wanted to know your opinion about how much should I charge for scoring a short film (10 min). Do you guys have any specific rules or tips?
Cheers!

I think the "Audio is 10% of the film's budget" rule is a pretty good one. As the music might be around half of the audio budget, or a little more, you have a clue in case the producer is transparent enough ... the other way around, you can try to define a per-minute-of-music price - how long are you working on a minute of score, and how much do you need for that. Plus, figure out your copyright situation.
