In some legato extended patches in BBC SO, they're a bit too slow. How do I fix this?

For example, the legato extended patch in solo clarinet always seems to reach a note 200-300 milliseconds after the whole orchestra has reached it. The clarinet sounds beautiful, but it always just leaves me unsatisfied and uncomfortable. Is there a way to fix this?

  • Yeah buddy I also recognized this behavior on certain other instruments. Chris mentioned those on one of his videos.

So long story short use the delay function in logic and set the delay to a negative value. The samples are then played a earlier..

Try and error what the best value is.

    Good luck and happy composing

    Hi @iiChakoPlayz

Some DAWs have a pre-delay feature, which allow you to move the audio start point of a note.
