SSD vs Optical Drive for storing sample libraries

Hi all,

How much of a factor loading and reading wise does keeping sample libraries on an SSD drive vs an optical drive have on speed and performance? Is the CPU and RAM a bigger factor?

With optical drive, do you mean a HDD?

I recently replaced my HDD with a SSD. I used to get stutters when playing BBC SO Core, but they are gone now. I don't know if all mechanical drives are as bad mine, but SSD do give you superior reading speeds.
